Lampe TGV, SNCF & Moustache, 2018
Initialement imaginée pour les nouvelles rames des trains à grande vitesse français, la lampe TGV a été dessinée à la demande de SNCF.
Signe fort dans le parcours du voyageur, ce luminaire combine courbes léchées et rationalité géométrique. La luminosité confortable et la simplicité du dessin de la lampe TGV en font un objet connivent autour duquel le voyageur est invité à s’installer.
Depuis le quai où elle accueille les passagers derrière les baies vitrées et pendant tout le voyage, la lampe TGV est un élément au caractère domestique, promesse d’un confort « comme à la maison ».
Portant naturellement dans ses gènes les caractères d’une lampe domestique, SNCF et Moustache ont mutualisé leurs compétences pour donner jour à la lampe TGV dans nos intérieurs. Fabriquée en aluminium injecté grâce à l’outillage industriel développé par Alstom, la version domestique de la lampe est identique à celles autour desquelles vous êtes installés pendant votre voyage. Seul un lest a été ajouté dans le corps de la lampe afin d’assurer sa parfaite stabilité et un système de vissage développé sous le socle afin de la fixer solidement dans des contextes particuliers tels que la restauration, l’hôtellerie et l’aménagement d’espaces publics.
Originally imagined for the new high-speed trains in France, the TGV lamp was designed at the SNCF’s request.
As a highlight on the traveller’s trip, this light combines contoured lines with geometric rationality. The comfortable light and simplicity of the TGV lamp design make it a complicit object that invites the traveller to settle in.
From the platform where it receives the passengers behind the bay windows, and all through the trip, the TGV lamp is an element of domestic character promising “home-like” comfort.
With the character of a home lamp rooted naturally in its genes, the SNCF and Moustache pooled their competence to give birth to a TGV lamp meant to be installed indoors. Manufactured in injected aluminium using industrial tooling developed by Alstom, the home version of the lamp is in every way identical to those where you settle in during your trip. The only thing added is ballast in the lamp body, to make it perfectly stable, and a screwing system under the base to fasten it solidly in special arrangements such as for restaurants, hotels or public spaces.
